COSMOLOGY
The Entropic Spacetime Field
Developed independently by Atheen, the Entropic Spacetime Field (ESF) is an ongoing research and science communication project that draws inspiration from thermodynamics, wave physics and information theory. ESF investigates whether many of the phenomena attributed to dark matter, dark energy and large-scale cosmic structure could emerge from collective behaviours operating throughout spacetime itself.
Modern cosmology has achieved extraordinary success, yet several fundamental questions remain unresolved. What is dark matter? What is driving the accelerated expansion of the universe? How did large-scale structures emerge so quickly after the Big Bang?
The Entropic Spacetime Field began with a simple question:
What if spacetime is not a passive stage upon which physics takes place, but an active thermodynamic medium that responds to entropy and information flow?
This question led to the development of a broader framework that re-examines gravity, cosmic structure and the evolution of the universe through an entropic lens.

Simulation And Development
Recent work has focused on mathematical models and numerical simulations.
These investigations have produced intriguing behaviours including:
Emergent Newtonian-like gravitational attraction
Naturally saturated event-horizon analogues
Structure formation behaviours
The project remains exploratory and is continually refined through testing, simulation and comparison with observation.

Research Papers
The Entropic Spacetime Field currently consists of a series of papers exploring different aspects of the framework, including entropy-driven expansion, emergent gravity, dark matter alternatives, information architecture, quantum behaviour and cosmic structure formation.
⸻
Beyond The Papers
ESF is also being developed as a science communication project through talks, articles, videos, fiction and immersive experiences.
The aim is not only to explore new ideas, but to make cosmology accessible, engaging and inspiring for a wider audience.

Finding The Mechanism
On International Women's Day this year, I excitedly posted the Turing-style reaction-diffusion equation pictured here, that produced wonderful filaments in tests and looked promising in toy runs against other known tensions. However, once I started digging down into...
